Horizon Fuel Cell Car Science Project
Horizon's Fuel Cell Car Science Project uses a reversible PEM fuel cell that combines electrolysis and power conversion into one single device. Watch as oxygen and hydrogen gases are formed in two transparent water containers. The car steers independently of the user once in operation: when the car hits a barrier, it will automatically find its way by reversing away 90 degrees. This fun science project combines cutting-edge science, education and fun for all!
Horizon Fuel Cell Technologies has developed a complete line of renewable energy science experiment sets and battery-free toys. In 2009 they partnered with science experts and educators in the US to develop high value educational content and teacher manuals that will bring renewable energy to the classroom.
The Horizon team created numerous additions to their educational kits, including a new comprehensive textbook covering the topic of renewable energy science, free downloadable experiment manuals, teacher notes and classroom guides, animated flash demonstrations, and many media files. This newly developed content complements the award-winning school science projects and toys Horizon has been developing over the last 4 years.
Designed as the "chemistry sets" of tomorrow, these educational projects are designed to explain renewable energy science in a classroom environment, for school projects and science fairs, or as fun and interactive activity sets for the entire family.
