UniRac RapidRac Frame and Brackets, Kyocera KD205GX-LP, 310355-0909
With minimal parts, reduced labor expenses and the versatility to accommodate a wide range of modules, RapidRac is one of the fastest, easiest and most cost-effective ballast solutions on the market today.
All modules in a RapidRac installation are racked in a landscape orientation, and feature a 10-degree fixed tilt. In order to calculate the amount of roof space required for an installation, you need to determine East-West and North-South array lengths.
The East-West array length equals the length of a module* (rounded up to the nearest inch), multiplied by the number of modules in the row.
E-W array length = Module length X Number of modules in the row
The North-South array length is slightly more complex because the layout in this direction follows a pattern: ballast pan/module/ballast pan/module/ballast pan, etc. Each column begins with a ballast pan at the south end and ends with a ballast pan on the north end. Therefore, the North-South array length equals the width of a module* (rounded up to the nearest inch) plus 16.125"** (south ballast pan), multiplied by the number of modules in the column, plus an additional 16.125"** (north ballast pan).
N-S array length= (Module width + 16.125") X Number of modules in the column + 16.125"
*Refer to manufacturer module data sheet for the module length and width measurements.
**The 16.125" ballast pan measurement corresponds to the standard 10 degree RapidRac configuration.
All RapidRac mounting solutions require two specific Unirac parts: ballast pans, and ballast pans with module support brackets.
The 310351 part number is comprised of a ballast pan (shown above), along with necessary fasteners and grounding clips. The 310355 part number is comprised of a ballast pan plus two module support brackets (shown below—atop a module), along with necessary fasteners and grounding clips.
